Finding money to pay for a life insurance policy may be difficult for many Britons, after research has revealed that many are struggling with their finances.Indeed, 13.5 million people admit to Alliance & Leicester that they have not shored up any savings during 2008, while 12 per cent of people claim that they did have a nest egg - but then spent it.
And 19 per cent of individuals are disappointed that they have not put aside as much as they wanted to, although finding extra cash to pay for life cover could be a wise move to make.
Commenting on the findings, Hetal Parmar, manager for savings at Alliance & Leicester, states: "What's surprising is the number of people who still haven't put any money aside and aren't concerned about it."
However, individuals may be interested to know that decreasing term life insurance may be one of the most affordable types of cover and could protect a mortgage should the worst happen.
Meanwhile, PruHealth recently claimed that Britons are fooling themselves into just how healthy they are.
