Of those people who seek the help of a financial adviser, 22 per cent ask for information regarding life insurance and critical illness cover, research reveals.Advice on savings and investments were the most popular area which consumers looked to guidance on (52 per cent), while mortgage support was asked for by 39 per cent of individuals, Zurich has discovered.
Pensions and retirement planning is the third most popular area which Britons want advice on, with 38 per cent seeking help on this subject matter.
Tony Solomon, business development director at Zurich UK Life, comments: "Our research clearly shows there is a lot more work to be done to encourage people to build closer relationships with their advisers and ensure people seek regular advice to help plan their financial futures."
Meanwhile, the insurer recently found that one in ten single people had a critical illness coverlife insurance policy in place.
